My Valentine this year is a bit  different. It was not just about anticipating to receive something from the big boss, friends, work colleagues and lovedones. It turned out to be a superfun Valentine with cheesy activities.

Valentine’s Day always falls on a working day, at least when I’m employed. Well, even if I am not, there’d be no fancy celebration ‘coz my husband is miles away from me. The typical set up would be a video call over Skype which we already did this morning before I left for work.

Every year at work, our boss sends out something to all the lady employees in the organization. This time, we got 2 little teddies with heart and roses packed in a box. It has also been a tradition to have activities at work and have a small salo-salo in the afternoon. Today, we were asked to wear either blue, black, white or violet. For whatever reason, we still don’t know. I just hope no one would ask anyone to get something from the basement floor. Oooops! I forgot, we don’t have a basement anyway haha! A week later of being under medication, I would say that I felt a lot better and the bleeding had slowly become lighter. Another week later, it completely stopped and just waiting for my period to come for this month. Hopefully, it goes back to normal soon. I am expecting to have it tomorrow, otherwise, there’s another reason to look forward to for not having it on time heehee!

Anyway, the day we had dropped my husband off to the Airport was the same day we had our flu shot for this year, as a part of our Employee’s benefits. I felt better after being hit by cold for 3 days and volunteered myself to get shot right away. Deye and the nanny also had their shots administered that same day but not Ishi, who might have had acquired cold from me. Maybe next week, I’ll have her shot administered.

I am really glad that I didn’t have to go through a strong medication nor getting admitted isn’t required. Otherwise, it’ll be a double job for my nanny though I am sure I’ll be taken care well Read more »
