My first job interview
Written by Mitchteryosa on October 26, 2011 – 10:58 AMI was approaching my 4th year in BS Industrial Engineering when my late paternal grandfather told me the message from my dad “Di ka daw muna mapapag-aral sa susunod na sem. Uuwi na si daddy mo. Wala na syang trabaho.” I was literally crying the moment I heard those words. We were at my tita’s house that time. I knew it was hard for my dad to break the bad news straight up that’s why he asked his father to do it for him.
I didn’t ask a question though because I have seen how much my dad has struggled in the past months trying to make the ends meet to support my schooling. I had a choice to continue and self support my needs but I opted not to. My family needed food and other necessities to survive. What I had in mind was “No hard feelings”. I can continue anytime I want, whenever I already can. I called my closest college friends and broke the bad news. Written by Mitchteryosa on October 20, 2011 – 2:18 PMIf there’s one thing a working mom would love to have is a much needed break with her family after a long day of working, a never ending discussion with her boss and sleepless nights with a sick baby. But that just don’t happen overnight. It needs proper timing and budget. Most especially, the place should also be child-friendly and perfect for a family.

While I dream on having a grand vacation with my family overseas, I took the liberty of browsing the net and see if I can find a perfect place for us, in case this dream pushes through. Read more »

An early riser
Written by Mitchteryosa on October 18, 2011 – 9:45 AMI am an early riser, no matter how exhausted I was the previous day, even if I partied all night with work colleagues and cousins, if I had to finish some online tasks or I need to be awake because my girls are sick, I still get up at 5am on working days. On weekends, I only get lucky to stay in bed up to 10am if my mom takes my youngest to their house and sleep over.
At times, I really think it’s about aging. I noticed that people who are a lot older than me wake up as early as 4am. Oh well, I have been like this since. Most of the time, I get up before my alarm clock strikes at the set time.
It’s a good thing anyway. As what philosopher Aristotle said Read more »
